Founder and Principal Architect

Franziska Amacher, the visionary founder and principal architect of Amacher & Associates Architects, brings over 25 years of extensive experience in all facets of the building process. Her expertise spans design development, zoning analysis, team building, budget development, project approval, schedule setting, and contractor negotiations.

Franziska has played a pivotal role in promoting sustainability within the architectural community. She has served as Co-Chair of “The Committee on the Environment” at the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) and has been an Adjunct Professor, teaching Sustainable Architecture and Design at the Wentworth Institute of Technology and the Boston Architectural College. Recognized for her contributions to the field, she is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED accredited professional.

Franziska holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a BA in Sociology from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Her diverse background includes work as a policy researcher before she transitioned into architecture. A native of Switzerland, she is fluent in several languages, enriching her ability to engage with a wide range of clients and collaborators.
